Food was big portions for the price so you are getting what you're paying for in today's economy which is a gem! My kids were being crazy and our waiter was so patient with them. He didn't seem to mind the feral cats playing with the monster trucks all over the table being louder than normal. He kept our drinks filled and was on top of our bill when he saw we were ready to go. Go support this local business. It's worth the drive to Grape Creek and it's delicious food!!!

My Book Club went here I got brisket the others got hamburgers because they said they were the best hamburgers in the whole area and there's a lot of places here selling burgers. Like the brisket like the people that we dealt with friendly and helpful. When I go back, I will try the burgers though to see if they are as wonderful as everybody says. My first time visiting this place, the others had been before I will definitely be going back.

There's absolutely nothing I've eaten here that wasn't cooked with love, well prepared, and well seasoned. The BBQ has just the right amount of smoke, and the sausage and ribs are off the chain good. The place has a good vibe and feel, and the owner treats everyone like a good friend. It's a short trip from the main area of San Angelo, but it is worth the drive with comparable prices. Everything is made to order, not sitting cold to go under a warming lamp. Don't take my word for it. Just go try it for yourself! The hours are 5 PM to 8 PM Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 2 PM Sunday, and CLOSED on Monday. The service is the best! Gary and his staff will make you feel welcome!

I reviewed Barnwood BBQ a while back. Just wanted to say it's still a great place to go. Best BBQ in the San Angelo area. They also have great fried catfish, chicken fried steak and hamburgers.

Food is great homemade food just like grandma made. BBQ is so tender and fried fish is wonderful. They have a variety of all kinds of food. Service is great and they are so polite and kind. Has a family atmosphere. I really like going there. I had two birthday parties there and they were the best.

Such a cute little place! So glad we stopped here on our way home from San Angelo. Brisket was great and service was awesome! Super friendly staff willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Thanks for the surprise blueberry cobbler! It was delicious!

On a recent road trip to Monahans we drove through the edge of San Angelo and stopped for dinner at barnwood. Signage was limited but parking lot was full - a good sign. We walked in to a wonderful saxophone artist playing in a very welcoming and homey decor with wood plank walls, decorative art for sale, and a staff of sweet and attentive servers. Water was always filled, food turnaround quick, many manager checks to make sure all was ok and a good barbecue baked potato with sliced brisket and Christmas queso. Menu was medium sized and prices were great. Serving sizes were average but perfect to allow for a serving of blueberry cobbler and ice cream. Glad we found this spot. The ambience and people were the best part and food was tasty just not exceptional. Warning! They only accept cash or checks!!! A small sign on door says this but we missed it. Thank goodness the price was inexpensive and we had the cash. Who has checks anymore.
